Responsibilities : 

  • Drive sales growth and achieve targets across all channels including General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and emerging channels such as horeca, on premise and wholesale etc.

  • Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies to increase product penetration, market share, and brand visibility across all trade channels.

  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensuring high performance and motivation.

  • Manage distributor operations, ensuring stock availability visibility, effective coverage, timely deliveries, and adherence to company standards and policies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key customers, modern trade accounts, general trade retailers, and channel partners to secure business growth.

  • Monitor market dynamics, providing insights and proactive action plans to maintain competitive advantage.

  • Track and analyze sales performance, channel profitability, and sell-in/sell-out data to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments.

  • Ensure proper trade spend management and compliance with discounting, credit, and policies across all channels.

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, trade marketing, and finance teams to support effective execution and customer satisfaction in each channel.


Qualifications : 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as Sales Manager within the FMCG industry, preferably with exposure to both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels.

  • Proven ability to manage distributors, field sales teams, and key account relationships.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and drive performance.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret sales data and develop actionable plans.

  • Good understanding of channel dynamics, market trends, and consumer behavior across different retail formats.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned area.
